Thursday night I had the honor of shooting the finalists of this year's "Follow the Light Foundation" grant finalists. One of my mentors and Surfing Magazine's photo editor of 25 years, Larry Moore, lost his fight to cancer three years ago. Since then, this foundation has been set up in his memory to honor emerging surf photographers. This year over 50 applicants submitted their portfolios for a chance to win a grant worth $5000 to do as they wish. This years winner, Todd Glaser, is using the money to make a book of portraits of people who surf. A portion of the proceeds from his project will go to the Big Worm Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. A portrait of each finalist who attended are below. Check out surfline.com for more of the story.

Another wedding went down last night. Here are some fun ones that caught my eye. I love the image of the groomsmen holding the cigarette. I'm not a smoker but for some reason I think it adds to the portrait. Anyway, enjoy the goodies and feel free to post a comment or two and let me know what you think...thanks for looking at our blog.
