The Medlins

I used to play club soccer with Adam Medlin back in junior high. After all these years we are now on the same team again in a men's league. We started on the beach at Aliso Creek but ended up at the playground with Mattheus leading the way. Wife Sandi and little Audrey eventually found the slide too.

There are two more wedding posts from 2009 that we need to feature. With all of the holiday madness behind us and 2010 upon us it is time to start blogging more wedding images. Jen and Glenn were married in Laguna Beach and they picked a gorgeous day. The fall sunset was amazing as usual. These two are such genuine people, it was so comfortable taking photos of them. Last Day in Hawaii

Tomorrow is my last full day in Hawaii. The swell is coming up and the wind is turning off shore after a few days of victory at sea. Tonight the sunset was amazing although it would have been better shared with my wife and daughter...soon enough.

The Eddie in 2009

You guessed it, Hawaii for two weeks to cover the Pipe event on the North Shore of Oahu. The waves were too big yesterday for Pipe but they held The Eddie big wave contest. It's only held when the waves are over 25 foot and was super lucky to be a part of event. The last contest was held 5 years ago so this is a rare thing. Check out surfline.com for some big wave viewing. Below is a photo from today...it's so beautiful here!

Family in Fall

Dono, Christy and Kate had me shoot their family photo this year and had the location all picked out. San Juan has so many secret little gems especially in Fall. This has got to be my favorite time of the year to shoot.
